Looking for a way to celebrate dad this June? Family Nurturing Center will be hosting its 8th Annual Fathers and Families Fun Day from 12-4 pm on Saturday, June 10th, 2017 at Harambee Park, Franklin Field, 15 Talbot Avenue, Dorchester, MA. The event will celebrate the positive contributions of men and fathers in their respective communities and gives dads, kids, and families an opportunity to spend time together in a fun, healthy way.
This year's event will include an obstacle course, bounce house, pony rides, face painting, story time, food, music, free books and even dental exams, provided by the MA Department of Public Health.
FNC will be joining the White Ribbon Campaign of Massachusetts in leading the White Ribbon Pledge, a public statement for men and fathers who are committed to ending violence against women.
"The Fathers and Families Fun Day shows the fun side of nurturing," says Mark Bouyer, two-time event volunteer, father of two, and case worker for Boston Public Health Commission's Father Friendly Initative. "It's an interactive way to hang out with your children."
For more information on the event, please contact Family Nurturing Center's Dorchester CARES Coalition Coordinator, Tara Register, at 617-474-1143 x263.
