 FNC
brings people together to learn, problem-solve, and work together
to help families provide safe, nurturing homes and communities for
their children. We involve everyone as teacher and learner, building
on strengths, improving teamwork, and developing innovative neighborhood-based
family support programs.
FNC addresses the whole spectrum of raising children, from pregnancy
right through the teen years. Our goals are to strengthen families,
educate service providers, and build community capacity to nurture
families and children. We offer a variety of Nurturing
Programs aimed directly at parents and children. We provide
Training targeted to professionals
from a range of disciplines, as well as to parent leaders and volunteers.
And, we work with community groups to build Circles
of Caring that bring resources together and fill gaps so that
all families have access to the support they need to raise happy,
healthy children.
