For parents of newborns, Welcome Baby is a one-time celebratory home visit that reinforces the importance of reading and conversation to healthy child development and school readiness. Also included is a beautiful gift bag filled with a handmade blanket, baby essentials, and books for baby, siblings, and parents.

For families with newborns in Dorchester, Allston-Brighton, and Roslindale/Hyde Park, Welcome Baby Home Visitors provide a great introduction to all the community resources new parents could need to give their child the best start possible. These may include WIC and food resources, healthcare, childcare, ongoing home visiting programs, etc.

Visits are available in English, Spanish, Cape Verdean Creole, Haitian Creole, and Vietnamese.
